Terms of Use (TOU) Summary

A full End User Agreement (EUA) along with further important information about Assurance Governance can be viewed by accessing the ‘other Important Information’ link at the foot of this webpage.

A summary of the Terms of Use (TOU) that the EUA infers onto any user is provided below:

  • That all registered users accept and agree for themselves and on behalf of their school, academy or trust that the use of the Assurance Governance website and any provided resource (in any format) is done so at the user and institutions own risk.
  • No warranties of any sought are given in regard to such use in terms of the accuracy or suitability of any advice given or inferred: Always seek additional professional guidance when making decisions.
  • Assurance Governance and the parent company UK Education Research and Innovation Ltd. cannot be held responsible for any damage, losses or any other negative impact of the use of this website or the resources provided. Users and institutions do so at their own risk.
  • Licenses for the use of the Assurance Governance scheme and resources are issued on a whole diocesan licensing basis. It is the user’s responsibility to complete their registration form accurately. If you are unsure of your diocese or any other requested information then please do ask using the contact form.
  • Users must provide a school, academy or trust issued email address, and confirm that they have done so on registration. Personal or other work emails should never be used for school, academy or trust business; doing so when registering contravenes the Assurance Governance TOU. Users may be removed if an email is thought to be in contravention of this requirement.
  • Further information regarding use of data and GDPR compliance can be found by accessing the ‘other Important Information’ link at the bottom of all the Assurance Governance webpages. However, in short registration details will never be shared with any third party, other than the diocese funding the license for the scheme and resources of which the school, academy or trust belongs. This will be in a summary consolidated format for the purpose of analysing overall diocesan use, and for no other purpose.
  • The resources are licensed and provided solely for use in the specific school, academy or trust where the governor, local governor or trustee has been appointed. Assurance Governance has the right to remove any user not in an institution that is within a diocese licensed to use the scheme or resources.
  • No license or provision is thus made for the use, sharing or retention of the Assurance Governance scheme or resources outside of the above school, academy or trust.
  • Assurance Governance has the right to remove any user not accurately registered as a governor, local governor or trustee of an institution that is within a diocese licensed to use the scheme or resources.
  • If you seek permission to use the scheme and resources outside of a registered diocese, then please contact us on the form provided on this website.

Please see links on the footer of this page for links for further more detailed TOR information, and other GDPR compliance and company registration details etc.
